Okay, I've spent the best part of today trying everything with my wifi card. I can "connect", but can't use email or Netfront. Just get timeout errors. Email conduits work for hotsync, but I can't send via wifi.

I've read all the wireless info on this and the NX boards and am out of ideas.

My setup is a linkysys wireless access point/router with 4 port switch. I regularly have 2 pc's wired to it, and a laptop with wireless access, so I know the wireless part works.

Other than this frustration I LOVE the NZ...just celabrating our 48 hour anniversary.

Can anyone help me with something I may have overlooked? I'm sure I'll kick myself when I get it fixed. The smallest details. I believe I've literally tried all the combinations suggested on here and have done it so many times I don't know where to start over.

HELP! Thanks in advance.

I have Cox at Home cable. Linksys wireless access point/router through a Toshiba pcx1100 cable modem.

When you get connected, you still need to login your own ISP Account to access the internet or email.
As for the email, you need to setup all the pop, smtp stuff ...
Once you connected, you can switch the programs and the connection is still active. Hope this helps

p/s: I have tried mine and it works perfectly fine. Fawless thought Netfront cant open another Netfront (unlike IE) ..hope this will be resolved as we move along ..... hopefully some companies (or Sony themselves) will release a IE equivilant browers ...

Also depending on your router/access point you may have ip issues to line up and make consistent, most importantly your gateway ip.

where would I "log in" to my isp once I'm connected? It's an always on connection. Where is setup for this on NZ?

Tonight I hard reset and started over to make sure there was no software on the thing that shouldn't be and I'm getting same results. Connected, but no email (pop and smtp error) and netfront times out with a "network timeout" error.

You don't need to login. First try with DHCP and auto everything. No WEP, no SSID for now. If it doesn't work, then you'll have to add the stuff manually.

The gateway is your router IP and the DNS addresses are of your ISP are most important.

If there is a powersave option, disable it!

You need to have SSID to determine which ISP you are using to connect to. Leave the rest blank.
You get connected (is like connect a Network Cable to your PC) but you still to access out to the internet thru an ISP ...so, your ISP can provide you with the SSID.
If not, there will be nothing shown on screen and after certain time it will disconnect ... :P
As for the gateway, most of the access point are auto, so leave thos IP and DNS blank, unless you are accessing straight into your own company site. Then you goto to specific the neccessary IP & DNS.
Hope this helps.
