Picked up my NX73 at CompUSA last week. Love it! Found Coday's video website and have downloaded the great vids, but need space! Any pros or cons with either MS? Best Buy has Sandisk for 89; Office Max has Lexar for 89 to. Any suggestions? :)

Sandisk is more reliable but Sony is the best.

Hmm, just get the one that looks best.
I'm pretty sure the sticks are all made at the same places.

They're all the same. Just get the cheapest.

isn't the Sandisk MS PRO blue in colour? It looks cool!

No I think its kind of clear/white, and different colours when you rotate it in light.

I have myself a 1GB Lexar MS Pro. What kind of light do you mean? They are equal to Sony's branded one in shape and colour. (Orange with White).

only the 2 Gig MS pro that's going to be released by sandisk is blue :) the rest are all the same in design and color as the sony ones except for the branding.

Lexar memory sticks are clear purple and have a blinking green led on the end when data is being transferred.

i was wondering if Lexar's memory stick Pro's have the same LED

Lexar traditionally has made the best compact flash cards that money can buy. I don't know if that translates to MS or not, but it probably does. With that said, I've never had any brand fail on me, so just get the one with the best warranty.

I like the Lexar blinky light... not only is it flashier than the I/O indicator on the side of my Clie, but it helps me know from a distance if a data transfer has stalled or if it's still going.

I've used Lexar for my Sony digital camera for quite a while and have never experienced any problems or failures. Plus, I like the little LED that it has so that I know it's 'working' when I plug it into my Photo Printer. I know when it's safe to unplug.

But I agree with a couple of other posters...they're probably all made in the same quanset hut somewhere in the Phillipines.

In case you were wondering, SANdisk and Sony MS are the same thing. Under an agreement between the two companies, SanDisk manufactures the memory and provides it to Sony. Sony manufactures teh finished MS product and provides some to SanDisk for resale under their brand. In other words, whether branded Sony or Sandisk, they are all partially manufactured by both companies.
