i am interested in purchasing the wireless lan card, but i really dont know the specifics about it. like would i be able to surf the web in my car? or do i have to be within a certain range of an internet modem? id like to know about the basics. thanks

Hmm, Yes I can surf the web from my truck, when it's parked in my garage. You have to be in range of the wireless LAN, which is typically a few hundred feet.
