It should have come with the BT MS.

I have them in 212KB zip file.

Any option to upload them to this site so everyone who needs them can download?

Seems there is no place to download them over the net (inc. Sony's support site).

I've ordered mine from brando workshop.
Took it 4 days to travel around half-world.

Look here (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2609&perpage=15&pagenumber=1) for info on installing and using the MSB1.

I made a rather lengthy post in that thread that should give you the info you need.

(Hint: the English drivers are on the CD. If you know where to look...)

And since they are now selling these units in the UK, it is now possible to get a cd that installs the english drivers by default.

A friend at work told me that Bluetooth sucked because it was line of sight and could not go through paper; so I guess it would not work in another room of the house... anyone know the truth?

I don't know what "bluetooth" your friend have, but my clie (BTMS enabled) is "talking" with the PC in my room, via bluetooth, while i'm sitting in the toilet.
I can communicate with my PC behind 2 closed doors.

I don't know about two doors, but
yes I did connect to the internet from my Clie via my CellPhone through bluetooth with a wall between me and my cellphone.
but the celle phone bluetooth is not that powerfull to go through 100 m as it should theoricly be able to.
no problem to go through paper, clothes (phone in your pocket), wood etc.
don't know about iron, or other metalic stuff.
probably won't go out of a faraday box ;o)
(just a joke, i just don't even know what I am talking about this faraday guy)

Bluetooth is for short range (typically less than 30 feet), but it is NOT line of sight! It is a radio based wireless communication protocol, and it will go through most non-metallic materials without problems (wood, plastic, drywall, etc.).

There are 3 classes of Bluetooth. Most small portable devices (cell phone, PDA, etc.) are Class-3 with a theoretical maximum range of 10 meters/33 feet.

The 100 meter range you often hear about is for Class-1, which is usually access points and BT equipped computers (there is also a Class-2, which I think has a 50 meter range).

Bluetooth has a maximum throughput of a little over 700K/sec one direction, or a little over 400K/sec bi-directional. However, the MSB1 Memory Stick is a serial device, which limits it to 115K/sec throughput on the Clie.

I know my BT Memory Stick goes through walls in my house with no trouble. But even though I have a Class-1 link to the PC, I can't get too far away from home with it because the BT Memory Stick is Class-3 (range is limited by the weakest device -- both would have to be Class-1 to get the longest range).

You can tell your friend he should shut up if he doesn't know what he is talking about. Bad information doesn't help anyone.

Aloha, GG

You can download english drivers for the NX series from Sony support. But I don't think the OS 4 drivers are on-line.

Even on Japanese version on the CD you can find the English drivers (that what I did).
Just take all the .prc that does not contains the two letter 'JP'.
No need to download the OS4 drivers, here they are.

Well I might be having a bluetooth birthday today .... I am really glad this conversation was here... My friend has left the dark side and got a NX70. His bluetooth experience comes from his cell phone and the ear piece... But thanks for the info... Happy BDay to me...:D
