How can I convert my MP3s to a different bitrate?
I have MP3s that are 160 kbps bitrate and I want to bring them down to 128 kbps, to save some space on a memory stick.
Any suggestions,

I have never used dbpoweramp but have had great success with Goldwave.

I use Musicmatch (www.musicmatch.com) to convert my MP3s from 192kbps to 96kbps. It's free and it works great.

I use LAME!
lame -q 0 --resample 44.1 --abr <bitrate>, where <bitrate> is whatever you want (I usually use 96 or 80, or even 56 if it's a mono stream).
Yields fairly good quality.
