I'm wondering if the screen on the NZ is better than the NX.

Could somebody post comparison pictures?

Both of them have these:

1) TFT color display with back lights
2) 320 x 480 dots
3) 65,536 colors

I read it somewhere here that the bezel surrounding the screen in NZ is THICKER than in NX.

What about the video? How is it, anyone ?? Is it a good quality one? Cause I live in a SECAM country and I wonder if it is good to use as a camcorder, or at least a medium quality job?

My impression comparing it side-by-side to my NX70V (that I just packed up to sell on Ebay), is that the NZ90 is brighter than the NX. Specifically, I noticed it when looking at it with a white background (i.e. launcher screen).

Funny becase the NX70 was brighter then the NR70, so it seems each model is getting a little birghter, but they dont mention it in the specs

Could it be that a newer screen seems brighter than one that has been used quite a bit?

I thought I read somewhere that an LCD screen has a life of somewhere around 10,000 hours.

they improved video playback to be 15 solid fps. Thats the only real enhancment to the screen. Its still the same size and resolution.

No, I haven't used my NX enough for it to have gone dim already. I have an IPAQ and I was always disappointed in the NR and NX in that they were not as bright; the NZ is :)

I suppose that a LCD screen may diminish over time, but the NX I had was a 1 1/2 weeks old! Seriously, I did a side-by-side comparison, the NZ is brighter!

Well I don't know about you guys but the NX is certainly bright enough for me. I keep the brightness all the way off and I can see it fine in any light.

If a NZ1000 came out it could blind us!

Hi. Thanks for yall's replies... but, how about that video camera deal ? Is it a good quality video capture rate ? What are your opinions? I can't compare it to the NX90 since I nevre owned one, but I have seen a camcorder image before. Is it as good as that ? Or somewhat close? Thanks

It is definitely brighter!!! Almost too bright too surf in bed at night... I've been keeping it turned down much further than my NX.

i think there seems to be a difference in the brightness of the screen because of the color of the body of the clie. I think NZ would look brighter when contrasted with the almost black body of the clie as compared to the silver NX

I am not up on the latest video technology. But the NX which I do have is supposed to be similar to the NZ in the video mode. Perhaps there is some slight improvement on the NZ due to the better lens. BUT IMHO, the NX nor the NZ I assume come even close to the CHEAPEST camcorder out there. I best describe the NX as at best as minimal video capability, say for technical video notes or spur of the moment vid clips to post on the internet or share with others. Please do not forget that we are talking MPEG video. Mpeg on the NX (NZ) is like 1/3 mega pixel camera being compared to a 35mm camera. The 35mm camera will surly win!

I'm going buy my eyes... I have to hold it much further down on my bedtime "surfing table" ( I knew my fat gut had a purpose!!!). I have it down all the way sitting in the cradle now. I had to pull the NX up to 25% to view it comfortably in the same situation (it's full daylight, no lights on in the home office). If it is a case color trick, go black!!!!
