did any one buy tj35 from sony website after recall?..
i wanted to know if i buy tj35 do i need to send for fixing backlight issue or it is already fixed in all units..

I asked the same question to sony customer support but they havent answered my qustion instead they said please go an buy in sonystyle.com.

any idea?

Sony took the TJ35 off their site when they announced the recall and only returned it back to availability recently. My guess is that they wanted to fix them BEFORE they sold them again.

While I have no first-hand knowledge, I would bet that if you order it from them directly then you are pretty safe to get a fixed unit.

I've bought one since the recall (Last wednesday), and although it wasn't from Sony directly, it was one which had been on display in a shop since before the recall, and is still not affected. As far as I know, it was just a batch of serial numbers that were affected. Also, Amazon have reduced the dispatch estimate from 1-2 weeks to 24 hours, so I guess Sony have fixed the problem and resupplied everyone.

yes I did yesterday, but haven't recived it yet...I bought it from the Sony.ca

I may recive it next week some how
