I just got word form Brayder - Jackflash maker- that they will not be supporting the UX series. Thats a real bummer coz every single byte we can squeeze out for storage is a plus, given the small amount of memory that we have. My UX50 is almost filled and I am using Powerun to be able to run applications off the Memory stick. Man, Sony/Palm should have native build in support to run applications off the memory stick/ SD cards.
I wish there was a way to remove all those useless ( atleast, useless for me) programs like remote cam, clie demo, etc....
Maybe some of you guys have some ideas regarding this. Thanks in advance.

You can. Go to Google.com and search for a program called FileZ and install on Clie. Run app and check the box that says ROM. It will allow you to remove anything then.
Hope this helps!

By removing those programs, do you actually free up memory?? It's in ROM, isn't it?

siebe,
I guess you are right, I don't know if we can use FileZ to write programs into the flash Rom area. I guess I was just happy to be able to remove those 3 (remote cam, photo editor and Clie Demo)programs from the regular 16mb memory area and use that space (however small it may be) for other stuffs

I was hoping you had the answer to the $ 64K question, really. The programs are a nuisance to me as well and I think Sony should offer the flexibility to either leave the programs on the handheld or remove them.
