is there a way to config a key combo to tap the screen in a certain area?
F'rinstnace. In PocketLingo dict/thes, I'd like to be able to use a key to erase the entry line/click the erase icon, since there doesn't seem to be a built in key for this function. Or choose a Command key that you know w/o Graffiti?

Well, you can generate command sequences with the keyboard on the NX73, and I assume NX80, UX40, UX50, etc. On the NX60 and NX70, to generate the command stroke with the keyboard, get a copy of Capitalizer (handypalmstuff.sf.net) and turn on the option to make the tab key generate a command stroke.

Capitalizer also lets you tap on-screen buttons via alt+firstletter, but that won't let you tap an icon with no text.

keyquick can be set up for the "virtual" tap but you have to know exact coordinates..

pruss: hm good to know the capitalizer, however keyquick has the same function, I'll give a try

how does one determine the exact coordinates?

Checkout CursorDa (http://muchy.com/review/cursorda.html). I use it in conjunction with KeyQuick and the two compliment each other very well. CursorDa is comparible to a mouse on a PC, simply navigate the cross hairs to the position on the screen that you need to "tap", and enter. I very, very rarely use my stylus. Hope this helps.

try lookiing up pscripting....

I use peditpro, laptophack, and ptoolset found at www.paulcomputing.com to automate everything. There's almost nothing you can't automate. Its an amazing macro creator. Its quite a bit to learn, but once you figure it out its amazing. I'm still figureing stuff out.

I believe peditpro and ptoolset work under os5 to allow macros.

what u want could be done by a tap on the grafiti area that's set up to run a specific script....

check out www.peditors.com

i guess ii'm not too familiar with quick key...

OK I have CursorDA, but how is it set-up? It shows up in files, but not the Launcher.

CursorDA is all in Japanese. Has anybody translated any of this. Does it need a DA to run?

Here is another thread (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33811&highlight=cursorda) concerning CursorDa. I don't have mine setup the same as the before mentioned thread states. You only need CursorDa and KeyQuick installed, no need for a DaLauncher. Now in KeyQuick, assign a key to call up CursorDa. When you call it up you will have a crosshair on your screen. Tap the uppermost left porttion of your screen with your stylus, you should be in the CursorDa preferences.
I have mine set up to the following:
Boost detect: fast
Boost value: mid
pushing time: short
cursor operation: 4button
Key1: jog
Key2: memo
cancel: back
then, all three boxes checked..

Just use your arrow buttons on your UX keyboard to navigate, when you navigate the crosshairs to your selection, press the enter key, Viola. Hope this helps.

I see CursorDA in my apps list, but not in the launcher. I haven't been ab;e to call it up in KQ either. Have any hints?

From within KeyQuick, just pick a key to use for CursorDa. Then Assign-Launch and choose DA from the drop down list, then choose CursorDA.

Example:

I use the "o" key. So in KeyQuick I select "Add" then it asks you to push the key to set up. I press the "O" key. Now you are at the KeyPref screen. Comb: I select Ctrl........Assign: Launch. Below that you can shoose Appl or Da. Choose DA and pick the DA that you want to assign to that key. That's it.

BTW I'm using KQuick version 1.2Beta2

OK. now how do I get CursorDA to do it's magic. I got the cross hairs to the tap area I want, but I couldn't figure out how to assign it a key combo.
Actually, I haven't found any use for KQ. I'm hoping that CursorDA will allow me to tap those few icons in apps that have no built in command key.

mistrfree, I wanted to thank you a million times. Your guidance helped and I'm all set up with KQ and CDA. Works perfectly.

after entering CursorDA I pressed tab and got the config of . I lined up the crosshairs. Then I press return, the cross hairs go away. But what key or how do I assign a key to "tap" the crosshairs?
Don't think I mentioned that I'm using an NX70.

I am using a UX-50, maybe CursorDA functions differently on a NX70, I just don't know. When you navigate your cross-hairs to the item that you want to select, simply press the enter key and this will tap (for instance) the icon that your crosshairs are over.

I tried entering the coords using the PointDisplay DA. But it still won't tap the eraser icon in PocketLingo.
