Infrared Problem Peg T615

I'm wondering if anyone out there knows the solution to my problem. Well.. I installed beam off 1 month ago and now I can't seem to turn my beam on.

I've deleted the program, contacted the program users, changed the preferences to beam receive "on" and yet I cannot receive anything through my infrared port.

I can however send information via the infrared port though.

I wonder if anyone has any ideas?

I would be very grateful if you did.

Are you by any chance running any "speed-enhancing" softwares, like Afterburner, FastCPU etc?? If you are, then there's your problem! You cannot send or receive anything if you have sped up your CPU!

I find FastCPU an indispensable tool for my T615. But I've learned to manage receiving a file beamed to me from another pda without having to disable FastCPU (which means resetting the pda).

Just before receiving the signal, just turn beam receive off and then on again (I do it in the preferences section, maybe the BeamOff app will work fine).
