PC IR Keyboard & SL10

I have an IR keyboard that is meant for use with a PC. It has a very similar layout to a laptop keyboard. Since IR signals are pretty much standard would I be able to use it with my Clie with a little modification? I think I read someone has done it but could not find the thread after doing a search. My IR keyboard is an AirTouch Airboard.

After a bit of searching I have come up with this:

It is an adapter that is supposed to convert any PS/2 full size keyboard for use with any PDA. So, I know it should be a lot easier to use my keyboard since it already has the IR transmitter. It looks like all I need is a driver.....
