The TJ25 ($139) is now $10 cheaper than the SJ22 ($149) on Amazon.com.
Amazing.

That's after rebates, but still, that ends up being a nice price.

I only paid $35 more for my TJ35 (after rebate). That's $35 for an MP3 player I'll never use, but I did get 32MB memory, and the enhanced software bundle.

Why won't the SJ22 price come down? It seems to have been stuck at $149 forever! My original intent was to snag a 22 when the price came down... but since it never came down, I decided to go for the TJ instead.

The SJ22 was $69 at Staples the day after Thanksgiving.

I also saw the TJ35 for $169 at Frys

Was that (TJ35) before, or after, rebate?  I heard about the Staples deal... and kicked myself around the block (twice!) for not leaving the house the day after Thanksgiving, and heading to a Staples...

After rebate. There were also a number of other great deals, but I didn't buy anything.

Whew! I only paid a few bucks more... actually, after tax, the Fry's deal would probably end up as much as I paid.

And while we're on the subject of Fry's. Why would anybody buy electronics from a store named "Fry's". That's the *last* thing you want to happen to your electronic devices...

Anyway, there are no Fry's stores in upstate NY. :-(

Looks like it's back up to $150 at amazon :)
As for the $70 Sj-22, I feel your pain. I'll be regretting that moment of laziness at least until I some day replace the TJ-25. I'll always be thinking "I could have gotten an SJ-22 for half the price". Ah well. C'est la vie. At least I bought the TJ25 on sale :)
