I'm too lazy to wade through all 10 disks of FreeBSD to find and test the right program... Does anyone know which specific program I should look for to sync my UX-50 to my FreeBSD box? I don't use any desktop themes, just the simple XFree86 window manager.

Sorry :(

You tried some BSD forums? Might have better luck than here ;)

I just figured I would start out here, since I'm already a member (-: I'll look around though. I will say this - no matter how complicated it might be, I'll take FreeBSD & PalmOS over WindowsXP and PPC anyday.

Both KDE and GNome supply guis to configure "pilotsync". See this article for some tips.

I guess it comes down to "what app are you trying to sync to?" Doesn't sound like you use KDE or Gnome.

Hey that's a point - do you already have Kernel support for the sync-stuff?

If you do you should be able to just use KDE/Gnome's syncy bits...

Can you recompile Pilotsync/Coldsync for BSD?

Not sure about BSD, but for Linux I use pilotlink package and then jpilot for the desktop sync app. See if these are available in BSD. Be aware that you may have to change permission for your USB or serial port (depending on what connection you use).
