My dear NR70J's battery life is deteriorating after 2 years of usage. Very sad. Buying a replacement battery is so troublesome and expensive and I'm sure 2 or 3 more years down the road, Sony won't even be making NR70 batteries and no place will sell them. Haiz, how I wish Sony could produce Clies that use ordinary AAA batteries. At least that will make sure I can use my dear NR70j for another 10 more years. I am very satisfy with it and don't think I want to change to another Clie.

There is a line of discussion a little further down this forum that is about this precise subject. Read it and then buy a battery. For $50 it is worth the investment. I certainly will when the time comes.

Actually, right after I paid $50 for my new NR70 battery, I found a place called ebatts.com that sells them for less than $40. :(
NR70 battery from eBatts (http://www.ebatts.com/modelselect.asp?Model=2875117)
Note that I have not ordered from these guys and have no idea if they are reputable or reliable. I got mine from cliebatteries.com, then stumbled across this link later while looking for something else.
When I needed a battery I did the usual searching (google, turbo10, etc.) and found that everyone seemed to be selling them for $49.95. Unfortunately eBatts didn't show up in any of my searches or I probably would have ordered it from them and saved over 10 bucks.
Anyway, changing the battery was a piece of cake, and now my NR is running like new again.
