I use daMemoPad (http://www001.upp.so-net.ne.jp/h-yama/da/index.htm) that can pop up a particular memo over the memo list. The pop-up screen can be sized to half of the Clie screen by tapping the middle of the pop-up screen title bar. If you tap and hold on the left corner of the title bar, the pop-up screen becomes transparent so you can see the whole memo list on the background and you can drag the half screen up and down.

daMemoPad is a DA, so it has a mall footprint (20KB), and you need DA launcher such as Dalauncher, McPhling, and EasyLaunch. I use all three launchers for different reasons.

PenPenCol also does this well.

Now if you could please tell me what the "I" button (next to the "Q" button) does, DanT... TIA

BTW you can also drag the full screen, I just noticed.

Right, you can drag up and down the full pop-up window slightly since it is a little bit smaller than 320x320.

The "I" is for pasting the memo in wherever you place the cursor previously on the app on the background.  If you just tap the "I", the whole memo in the pop-up screen will be pasted onto the background app page.  You can paste only part of the memo by highlighting the part before tapping "I".

You can find more information about how to use it in this site:

http://www001.upp.so-net.ne.jp/h-yama/da/index.htm

By clicking on the English version of ReadMe file.

It's a cool DA, huh.

These apps do not show preview as you scroll through entries.

thanks

I use 2D Memo and it put the little sticky notes so that you can see them and then you click on them to edit or view no alarm or time tho...I've taken out regular memo with JackSprat and JackFlash and use the 2D along with the Memo in Wordsmith. The 2D has whatever note you want "posted" on the top. I think it is free.

There's a program called M-Read which does exactly that. The top half of the screen has a list and the bottom half shows the text of the chosen memo.

There's also a new memo app from the maker of the crs line of apps.
