I am using the Clie NX60
I am runniing Windows XP Pro
Every time (well, it seems like everytime) I try to hotsync I have to re-start my computer with the cradle connected (through the USB) to the computer with my Clie in the cradle on and the clie has to be on.
I just need some help here on this...
Thanks,

Here are some possible causes:
Corrpted USB drivers
Defective USB port
Defective Cradle
Defefctive Clie
Using over-clocking software on the Clie
Walking across a room in low humidity can zap your Clie if you grap onto it first. BTW this is NOT a joke!

Perform a soft reset and that straightened it out.
But, I am still concerned!....From what I hear, hotsynching should be an easy thing and yet, I've had to struggle with it almost all the time.
Sometimes it works, other times it does not, and I have to restart.
Of-course, I just now did the soft reset thing and perhaps that will stop me from having to restart over and over again.
I don't know, I'll just have to get more familiar with this stuff before I form an opinion on what the real problem is, if in fact there is a problem.

When you reboot a PC, it refreshes all memory with reloading it from the hard drive. Only a hard reset on the Clie plus reloading from a backup will refresh it. Gitches can happen anytime, anywhere, on anything! Whether it's an appliance, computer, or a PDA, it's just the nature of the beast. Look how many computers they have now on a Space Shuttle or your modern automobile.
