Ok...I have searched the forums and tried everything.
My T610 works seamlessly with my PBG4 via BT. No problems whatsoever.
Connecting the T610 to my TG50 has shown to be another situation altogether.
I have tried all the init strings I could find...I have tried setting the connection to be Phone, Modem and Local Network. I have the BT T610 driver on my Palm -- when I connect, the connection seems to work. The phone shows that it is connected via bluetooth, but on the Palm side nothing happens. If I go into Nfront, it just spins its wheels and no page is displayed after waiting for about 40 seconds. Snappermail is the same...
I have put a uname/password as per suggestions, that this should not be left blank (I have tried both a space for each, and also misc. characters)
Under details of Network I currently have:
PPP
1 Minute
Query DNS (Checked)
IP Address Auto (Checked)
So, the connection is established -- no error messages reported, but nothing seems to happen, and eventually the connection is dropped.
By the way, I am on USA Tmobile with the unlimited Internet data plan.
Any ideas?

Hi, newrome! I'm jealous of your unlimited data plan (I've got AT&T's max MB, but it's still $$$)), not that it's doing you much good at this point.
A couple of thoughts--although, as I said, I'm on At&T Wireless although with the same devices and software you're using.
Have you tried the generic BT to GSM driver rather than the T610 specific one? In my case, I found the specific one won't work, while the generic does. Go into the Palm preferences "Connection" panel and make sure you're paired with the phone there. In my setup, I had to configure a custom connection profile. Then, still in Preferences under the "Network" tab, see what happens when you try to establish a connection. With the generic driver, it will complain that a more specific one may be better suited, but it successfully makes the connection. Perhaps you may get an illuminating message of some kind. If you connect, perhaps try starting NetFront or SnapperMail from here.
My apologies if you've already tried all this--I remember how utterly frustrating it was getting mine set up. Good luck, and I hope this may spark something new to try. Do power cycle the phone frequently--I found that ultimately solved things.

Ok -- after much suffering -- here is the solution, and I am not sure why it is not being mentioned more often:
Sony Mobile Connection Wizard. http://www.ita.sel.sony.com/support/clie/conwiz/softupdates/
After trying everything under the sun, I simply could not get it to work -- (By the way Kim, I had tried t he generic driver also with no luck!). For some reason, this thing works like a charm and takes over the entire process. It is really a step forward in this area, overcoming the Palm's old, rather arcane way of setting device / connection / network settings.
That being said, it is rather limited because it supports only certain models of Clie and certain service providers.
Even if you have it working, it seems to be a worthwhile solution, and worth installing.
Now onto unlimited data!

Glad you got it working, and enjoy surfing! Thanks for posting your solution also. I thought I'd tried that and hadn't gotten it to work ... wonder if there's a newer version. Might be more stable than what I'm doing now.

I finally got my T610 from Tmobile in the mail the other day. Not my first choice of phones, but it was economical. I got the unlimited internet plan as well.
I got it to work using the following guide for the UX. Trick was to setup the PHONE correctly. Dial stuff was straight forward the Clie. ( connection and network settings)
I also used the TG50 update stuff from the other link in this post, but i'm not sure if that had much to do with it.
Definitive guide ux - t610 (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33660&highlight=t610+internet)
I'm going to wipe my clie and start again to see if I can get better throughput using the sony mobile manager for the tg50 and the t610. right now i'm only getting 33k download as shown from the CNET bandwidth speed test site.
Email sending and receiving is not too terrible. At least I can set it down and not have to worry about breaking the IR connection I used to use.

Now the Mobile connection wizard site is not working.
