I know this is asked over and over but once again has anyone heard from Yi Bing as of late on any Yishow updates to be released soon?

I haven't heard anything about any updates from that quarter.  Have you tried emailing him?

I emailed about a question about two or three weeks ago, and have not received any response. It has been poster on this forum before that his english isn't that strong so he tends to hold off. I don't follow that since his documentation seems pretty good, but missing a little here and there.

But I would like answers to my questions like why I cannot load any other skin other than the one he uses. It will not recognize it. Also it will not recognize all of the .jpg files I put into the folder (320x480) for GB?

The next version of "YiShow for CLIE" v5.3 is going to support OS5. So we can use the CLIE skins again! It's in beta right now.

I think this only brings more angers from ppl who bought the palm version?

the author released it himself. I heard from some poster at a chinese forum. and yes i am sure because they have a working [buggy]version

I finally found the time to work with Zlauncher. Even though I am a registered user of YiShow ($20 wasted) I am getting to like Zlauncher. I also have Sliverscreen, LauncherX as well. But ZLauncher is looking good. PowerRun doesn't have any issues with it unlike YiShow which will not allow category changes for a few apps.

Since you've been using several launchers would you be will to describe advantages and disadvantages between them?

I loaded Yishow(trial version) and like it, and I was going to purchase it, but I've read several posts complaining about support and such.

Any suggestions?

I liked Silverscreen for being a simple easy to use launcher. It has nice color, easy to use VFS. But it became bloated when OS5 came out. With all the necessary files it jumped to 1.2MB on my Palm TT. Way too much. I have emaile the creators of SS several times and found their support quick to respond and answer questions.

LauncherX showed the most promise, only to lack "advertised features" that were touted. It was nice to create shortcuts for apps that normally don't reside on cards but need conduits like DocsToGo. However it lacks the punch in terms of looks that allot of launchers offer. It has been reported by some as problematic, but it comes down to what apps you have, how you configure etc for just about any app or launcher.

YiShow looked good to me during demo. I like the VFS support, theme manager, background mgr and it gets big too when you add a BG. But I have trouble paying and supporting authors who don't answer support questions, don't have clear directions in english and do not support their product. Also I found that PowerRun has issues with it when it came to categories.

Now ZLauncher. This is highly touted, everyone loves it, and it can also walk on water. Well just about. PowerRun likes it, I finally figured out which file for CopperDeckII to add and the icons too. VFS is nice, tool bars seem redundant though. I like it the best and will most likely sign off on the purchase shortly.

The only thing ZL needs is the ability to rearrange the order of tabs (unless it is there and I don't follow).

Bottom line, go with ZLauncher. I am Clieconverted and now ZLaucher Converted as well.

Yishow 5.3 for clie has been released and it works on the NX series, to use the old skins once again, hooray! I have tried the demo and all seems OK, the program seems to run a bit faster also!

The last time I tried ZL, I could drag tabs to a different location to reorder them. I assume this functionality hasn't been removed.

Has anyone been able to get a different skin to work beyond the oriingal one. I had difficulty with it.

It keeps saying that I must load the correct background, such as the default one.
