Getting this question answered might not bring me any comfort, but I'd rather have a bitter truth than a sweet lie.

My boyfriend has NR70 and I own NR70V. It seems like his battery lasts longer than mine. We didn't do any testing, because to me it is visual enough.

Even when I don't use the camera, from a full charge of 4.20V with about an hour use or less I get to 3.86V or so. Is this normal for us, 70V's users??

They should have the same battery. Maybe your brightness levels are different, or you use yours more often.

Perhaps because the camera is always "ready to use" like beam receive. I'm a computer person, not an electronics person, so I can't be sure.

And yes, I'm aware coputers are electrical. :)

He uses his more than I use mine and his screen brightness is a little higher whereas mine is at the minimum.

My only guess so far is maybe camera does draw a little bit more power even when you don't use it. I hope nothing's wrong with my unit.

It seems like i can use my NR70v for about 1 hour and still have around 4.00, around there I think, maybe your battery is getting worn out? Tho that would be kind of fast..
