I had PalmMSN, but when the version of MSN changed it stopped working. Now I have the trial of VeriChat, but I just can't see paying a yearly fee to use a free messaging service (I don't use the mobile phone aspect).
Anyone know of new things coming up?

Hmmm... searched again and found the info about Jabber and Chatopus. I guess I'll give that a whirl.

cosFFM or others using chatopus,
I have it all set up on my PC, but I haven't found a server that reliably will get AIM and MSN. I tried myjabber.net and could not even register AIM. Then I tried transactim.net and got them both registered, but now can seem to log on to MSN (I can with AIM). Any suggested servers?

http://amessage.info/ is what I use. But I don't have any MSN contacts, so I can't say if that would work with this jabber server. Maybe you should have a look at www.jabber.org and look for other servers you might use.

I use transactim.net... the transports for yahoo & aim have been pretty solid. don't use msn so can't comment on that.
