After using Pelaca's drivers for awhile, I've decided to give one of the commercial products a try.  While obviously a fine piece of work, Pelaca's program seems to work best (okay, FLAWLESSLY!) with mp3 files.  And no one can complain about the price! ;)

Unfortunately, my needs are a broader, and I've not been able to find solutions to making some some important apps work on the CF. (related thread: http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38078)

So, how do you go about uninstalling Pelaca's drivers and hacked programs?

Thanks to all

have you tried out Slotexchange (http://www.clieuk.co.uk/aug13.shtml) for solving the problems with DoToGo and acidimage?

I would think twice about switching drivers.

What other issues are you having?

I've been using CliePet's ClieMounter. I assume it accomplishes the same thing.

The main frustration is not being able to use jpeg, PictureGear, and DocumentsToGo files on the CF. I also frequently lock up at the end of a sync and have to soft reset (though this could be an app other than the CF drivers: JackFlash, etc.)

I would assume you would have to do a hard reset (do backups of the programs you want to keep) with the up arrow instructions (you'd be surprised how many people don't follow through and think that just hitting the button with a pin is a hard reset, not a soft reset. Then make sure you put in all your upgrades, and also make sure you don't inadvertantly reinstall the drivers. That should restore your clie to its "out of the box" state.

Thanks to all

Some people have actually had to do a "hard reset" twice, don't ask me why but it took twice to get everything cleared. :)

I'm still weighing the pros and cons of the move. I was forced into a hard reset anyway the other day, and it took me about another day to figure out that I had to reinstall the MS Pro update to get Pelaca's drivers to work again, even with AudioPlayer.
