CF and battery drain

OK so my battery is being used up alot quicker than on my old TG50. I always have the CF in coz it's got my music and my camera writes to it. Is there any way i can switch off the power to the CF card when i'm not using it I read about CF mounter but I don't think that works on my NX73v.
hope someone can help, the battery drain is a bit dissapointing.

I don't notice any difference on battery drain if my CF card is plugged in or not on my NX70 (unless it is being used for mp3s etc of course).

Perhaps you have a faulty CF card?

Yea, I had to do without my cf card for a week and really diidn't notice a substantial increase in battery life so I don't think it makes that big a difference.

Otherwise, I don't know of a way to do what you're asking.

maybe its because you always are playing music and using your camera?
