What Can I really do with this thing?

Hi,

Hi im the smoke detector guy (heh). I only got my nx80v/h a week or 2 ago (for christmas actually). I know its a powerful piece of equipment but I need someone to tell me everything I can actually get out of this thing.

The only functions Ive used is taking pictures, using the alarm, testing out grafitti and downloading a few uninteresting games that "need to be purchased"

I know that theres alot more, especially with the functions aht require a memory card. Unfortunately I dont have one of these yet but will be getting oone in a week or so.

So could ppl pls tell me what they have got out of their nx80's? This may include quality and fun games, other software.. anything!

Theres a lot of things to do more than being a smoke detector for your NX. Just to name a few_
1. You can use it as a MP3 player.
2. You can drop movies into your MS or CF and watch them anytime
3. For doing and editing microsoft words, powerpoint, excel using DocstoGo
4. Use it to watch flash movie and play flash games.
5. reading ebooks.
6. Downloading and using applications suitable for your needs. If you want freeware get it from www.freewarepalm.com.
7. Yah you can use it as a torchlight also :D

There are a little less than 400 threads in the NX section. Take the time to look through them. I'm not suggesting that you read everysingle post but look at every thread but at least and read a few posts in each thread and if its something interesting then read on. If your looking for something specific then

Mostly i go to www.handango.com for downloading applications and games.
Check out CS regularly for newest games coming out.

No prob...Moneys tight for me cause I still live with the 'rents/go to school/mom won't let me get a job because she want's what little energy I have to go to school lol :D....so I HATE spending money...nobody LIKES to spend money on games....palmgear...and freewarepalm have some good games...like variations/original arcade games(ie pong, breakout style games, and centipede style games) anyways...just check out palmgear and freewarepalm. ;)

ummm.. i was given it as a chistmas present. And i like it :)

I should post this in a new topic but its just a quick question..
I was checking how much memory I have left and I only have 1.3 M of 16M!
I added up all the programs I installed and it adds up to 2887 K!?
Where is all my memory gone to. Thx

True the photos indeed take up quite alot of space. You should move them to MS or CF instead

I got it for Christmas too!:D But mine was upon request(actually I asked for the 73 but they were out so lucky me I got an NX80) :D

Both of them are MS=Memory stick. CF=Compact Flash.
CF are cheaper and there are hack available to fully utillize the use of it.Search under the Compact Flash section.
MS are more expensive. There are different types of MS also. Seach under the General section

welcome to CS .... there is one more site that I am surprised no one mentioned about ... go to tucows.com - ... they have loads of stuff there ... tho some of it youd get on freewarepalm (my favourite for free palm stuff) ... but you can still get good stuff there ... if you want to know about stuff before buying, try the reviews on pdabuyersguide.com - and get a MemStick ... i didnt think I'd need it but now i cant do without it ... there are some apps and games that are made for left handed people also.. I have come across some but they are very limited ... you might also want to get a case to prevent damage to your Clie :)
btw I'm still waiting for my Clie to serve coffee ...:rolleyes:
