Hello,
i want buy in the next days an TJ-35.
On a german site i read, that it is not really possible
to listen MP3-Sounds an work with the TJ-35 at the
same time. The Sound are going to break, because
the CPU is not fast enough for this while working with
contacs or writing an email asw. - so the comentary
in this preview.
On this site german site was a further notice - that
Tungsten E has no problems with do both things at the
same time very well...
So i cant belive it !!!! - because Tungsten E has not
a 200 MHZ-CPU like TJ-35.
So i want ask the TJ-35 users - is it possible or are there really
probelms with that?
best regards
Mike

Mike,
I regularly listen to mp3's and use my TJ35 at the same time and do not have any issues or problems with the sound. one of the settings in Aeroplayer, the default player that now comes with the TJ35, allows you to set the device to play music while running other programs.
If I'm not using my TJ for other things and just want to listen to music, I move the slider to the "hold" position which turns of the screen and locks out the quick launch buttons. I'm very satisfied with it for listening to music.

Thank you very much for this answer - itīs exact the answer i hope to get it ;)
Another question about the earphone: is at the TJ a special plug
for only Sony earphones - or can i use every other model?
I think by some older Clieīs i heard from some friends that only
Sony earphones can be use...?
Mike
PS: Thank you for the "welcome" - i think i will be often here in the next time :D

TJ35 uses a standard headphone mini-jack, so all kinds of headphones will work just fine.

Wow. I'm glad someone asked this question, because I didn't know that there was a setting to allow MP3 playback while using the TJ35 for other things. Great to know!

If you like the Aeroplayer that comes with the TJ35, check out Aerodromes "improved" version for the TJ35. It's like a $12.00 download but in my opinion, worth it. It enhances the regular version that comes with the TJ35 and adds some better EQ and sound boosting features. I think you can "try before you buy" too. Get it at www.aerodrome.us

You don't have to use Sony brand headphones but I just happened to have some Sony earbuds MDR-E828 that work really well. I had purchased them about a year ago for another mp3 player but they sound really good with my TJ35. The best thing is that they come with a little "wind up" storage case. You just put them back in the slot and wind it up and they are stored in a small circular case about the size of a makeup compac (did I say that right??) I'll try to post a picture.

Funny. I also have the exact same Sony headphones and I'm using them with TJ35.
