View Full Version : WiFi and Cliesource

Tried posting to Cliesource, wirelessly.
I couldn't. I tried two browsers, both NetFront and WebPro. Tried WP with and without the proxy server.
The /mobile version would let me enter a post but every time I clicked "submit" I'd get (in French) "no thread specified."
Trying to get the the non-/mobile version was tricky. NetFront would only display the "classifieds" on the main page http://www.cliesource.com.
WebPro finally let me get the "full" main page but I couldn't get beyond that. Everytime I clicked on FORUMS or just the UX50 forum, the main page just kept reloading.
No matter what I tried, I couldn't post. :( I tried deleting cache files, re-logging on, etc. Nothing helped.
OTOH, I've noticed that Cliesource has been misbehaving today, even on my desktop. Slow, sluggish and difficulty posting. (I'm using different Networks, btw, just to rule that out.)
Any thoughts? Thanks.

There is nothing special to do. What kinda connection do you have to the internet?
I had just posted earlier (it is news to me now that there is a handheld version). Are you sure you have javascript enabled (I think netfront has it default, but WebPro needs MathLib). Also, make sure you have pictures enable (default, I think, for both). Also, check your firewall settings on your router/server. I would recommend not using a proxy server, since they usually cause problems.
Also, where are the browsers on your ux? I have netFront in the ram and WebPro in AliasExt on my int. Memory.
I had just posted a moment abot with my ux, so I know it works. oh, and I am using codediver with WebPro, not sure if it would make a difference. I haven't tried making a new thread, but if you type the reply in the Quick Reply box and hit Submit Reply, it should work.

Well. I have noticed a slowdown in CS in the past two days. I am successfully posting this from my UX. I am using WebPro with proxy. I have been getting email alerts on my desktop and my UX in French, don't know whats up with that. But, for now it is workin so I am not complaining. Good luck. :)
Thanks to PDAFrance, there is actually a beta mobile version of the ClieSource forums. You can see it at:
http://www.cliesource.com/forums/?styleid=3
The menus are in french, and there is still a problem with the news forum. Caution though that if you visit the link above on your PC browser, because of cookies, you might not be able to go back to the regular view. To go back to the regular view use this link:

Hope this is good news for some

I've posted to ClieSource many times using my UX50. Unless something has changed in the last two weeks, it works fine.

Careful about those links to the wireless formatted board -- it'll set your default view to the handheld style minimalist view. Have to reset your cookies to return to normal.

I'm trying to reply which MAY work. It was the new thread that didn't work. I was given no login choice so either I am logged in (cookies) or I'll show up unregistered. LarryH.
Edited to read: Right after I posted this wirelessly, I tried a "New Thread" and got the same error. Seems I can reply to threads, but not start a new one.

Joel -- the mobile site is great. Just can't post NEW THREADS from there. It gives an error message. Replies seem to work fine.

I've tried both sites on my UX-50 with Netfront.
I get an error anytime I accept a cookie:
DataMgr.c, Line:6341, Invalid uniqueID passed.
If I disable cookies, everything works fine.
Anyone else having this problem?
The only cookies it seems to crash on are Cliesource... although I really don't do that much browsing on my UX.

I should probably also add that I've already cleared my cache, and deleted any nf3* files in RAM except my bookmarks.
The problem always shows up when accepting a cliesource cookie, even after deleting any nf3 files.
I've just tried accepting some cookies from some other sites, and it works fine...

My 2 cents
I have the same issues but i found that if you dont log in you can reply to posts (Haven't tried to start a new post) but as soon as i log in (which is only from the main forum listing page) I get a blank page in netfront.

I went to www.cliesource.com/mobile with Mozilla and got stuck. The easy way to get back to normal view is to delete your cookies from www.cliesource.com.
