I tried under windows 2000 and a Clie SJ30. But when trying to connect my computer reboots.

I installed okay on Windows XP, but lost my ability to hotsync (was trying to send a browser to test the connection). Hopefully we'll see some improvements in documentation, as this is only an alpha/beta.

I tired it out yesterday and it didn't work at all. I'd like to see some more information included that decribes what your supposed to do.

Incoming Connections Warning

Incoming Connections depends on the Routing and Remote Access service which was unable to start. For more information, check the system event log.

I got it to establish a connection. My NX says I am connected and I can see my unit in Windows. I just havn't been able to get ClieMail or ICQ to be able to do anything. I do have it connecting though.

The Routing and Remote Access service is for some wird reason really not installed on my system. Where the **** is my Windows CD ??? ARGH!!!

I installed the PocketLink browser (I think that's the name) and it will connect but then it can't load any pages. Windows says I am connected at 64kbps and that 259bytes have been sent and 555 recieved. These numbers change a little each time I connect, but never move while I'm trying to do something on the NX. I feel like it's connecting, but it's not communicating after that. If I disconnect one, the other closes the connection as well. I feel like I am so close...

Doesn't work, crashes when doesn't connect succesfully (which is all the time).

I have send an email to softick telling them I reboots my pc when trying to connect with my SJ30 and this is their reply

I'm really sorry but Softick PPP doesn't work with all Sony Clie handheld yet. We have successfully tested it on Sony Clie NX series only. This is a subject for further work for us.

First of all i have it working great with my NR70v, ofcourse i was getting an error code(87) as most are...

u do need the updated Palm desktop from the NX support site....its works great with my NR, no probs
it has the new USB drivers that softickPPP needs to work

those of u whos computers are restarting when u try to connect, read the readme file...it clearly says not to have hotsync and PPPgate.exe open at the same time :)

also, softick has a forum that has some answers about its software

i use Pocketlink and verichat

Actually, I was able to connect softick and my NX70V Clie (getting timeout errors at the begining). Now I'm connected but if I go to avantgo, I get timeouts there, does anybody succeded and was able to surf the web with this great program?

I tried it about a month ago with the setup as so:

CLIE SL10

Windows XP Pro

LAN connection to extrernal DSL modem

No use, it crashed my computer at first.

 

I'm going to try it with my current setup

CLIE SL10

Windows XP Pro

Wireless 802.11b connection to router and DSL modem

 

I'll get back to you soon :)
