my school paper i was supposed to do over the holiday just got wiped when i was trying to view it on my computer
Nes em won't work(lack of buttons)
the first day i got it i had to do a hardreset because it would not charge or turn on
and now it woill not sinc

I love the device but have had my fair share of problems
what should i do?

a NX-80 would be nice but no landscape
T3 would be good but no thumb keyboard

Tungsten C has a keyboard and not many problems. But no hi-res+

no high res and you have to have a head phone adapter
for the C, it would be nice but the Ux is much better

Get Decuma for the T3, great input alternative :). If I had to get a non-thumbboard pda, I would use Decuma all the time :).

So how loud actually is the whining?
I remember the back light of the Palm III also whine when I turn it on and it never bothers me.

its loud enough so when the unit is a foot and a half away from your face, you can barley hear it, but if you look left or right it gets louder

Yep, that can really annoy your spouse if you have to surf the web in bed. :D

Doesn't the UX-40 come with decuma? My UX-50 did. It should be already installed and everything.

heyy i have a ux40 too and i like it just fine! i don't really need WiFi since my powerbook and airport are more than adequate for me. i just connect w/my T608. and no, i don't hear a high pitched noise from the unit...

you should buy what you need. The ux 40 is nice. If that was sold in japan. I buy it! But its not.

I just got back from a long vacation to found out the guy in the next cubicle finally got a PDA -- a UX40. (I probably influenced him - using mine so much.)

Rename the MVQ files to MOV and then email them to the site -- it gets more complicated doing it ALL on the Clie. Rename it via Clie Files. Third party email software required to send the non-standard attachment directly. Otherwise you can move the file to the PC and rename and email it from there.
