I have read about the command bar and would like to know how to usi it and how to access it plust what symbol do you use to use the shortcut feature built into palm????

It's the bar at the very bottom of the NX screen. Shortcut feature? If your talking Grafitti, then I don't use it.

Never mind, I was thinking of the status bar, never used a command bar, sorry!

doesn't the shortcut thingy look a bit like the american ribbon over there to the left ?

Command bar is brought up by drawing a "/" with the stylus in the graffiti area. Different programs use different commands. You can see them by pulling down the menu. The commands for each function will be next to the menus. For example... the Copy command is /C. Paste is /P. So on and so forth.

Shortcuts are a way to enter in strings of text by just writing a few characters. These are setup in the preferences program under the "Shortcuts" category. While entering text anywhere in your palm, you draw a lowercase cursive L.. yes, much like the American ribbon in the avatars, followed by the characters you defined in preferences. Your shortcut character and letters are then replaced with the string of text you have associated with them.

There are a few default shortcuts that are already setup. Go into any program you can write text and write the shortcut character (lower case cursive L) followed by "br". Your characters are replaced by the word "Breakfast".
