I'm happy. Can you tell? Just stopped in the office to check Cliesource (doesn't everybody?) and saw the message about CC. Well, after lunch I "just happened to be going by" CC in Tuscaloosa (sometimes it pays to live in the middle of nowhere)

Anyway, went in and saw no NZ's. Asked one of the managers on the floor about it. He said let's check. Stock shows we got in 2. Now, where is it. We literally check all the gray packs in the computer area and, sure enough, it was in the last one (aren't they always).

So now it's home and charging.
First impressions:

Much smaller in person than in photos (you know the camera adds twenty pounds)

Fits well in my hand (and I have small hands). Reminds me of one of those mini-casette recorders sold a few years ago.

The screen part is much lighter than the NX. Much easier to manipulate.

Time to figure out what all the buttons are for.

If you want hands on, go to Circuit City.

Mine's on reserve for tomorrow when it arrives... I knew I couldn't wait!!!!!
Managed to get the "store director" who said I could warranty my NX and get the NZ. See how it goes tomorrow, though, I'm gonna see if the wife would like the NX for her own and have the business pick up the tab on the new one. Be one heck of a Valentine's for her!!!!

I just got back from Circuit City where I got them to take one out of the cage. I played with it, and gave the sales guy a big lesson in PalmOS devices and digital cameras. He was absolutely blown away when I beamed a demo of Bejeweled to the NX they had on display.. "It CANNOT be that easy!" was a quote. I love sharing the joy.

Back to the subject... the NZ is a very awesome device. It feels very solid. I like the keyboard, and I took out the battery to see what it was like, very nice setup. The unit had never been charged though and was running on the 16% juice they apparently give it at the factory so it wouldn't let me start the camera app. I was going to snap a few pictures to my MS and check them out when I got home. No loss, I just felt like it would be fun.

Wait, are you talking about Compusa?? b/c if u were, LOL! I was there today, around 2 o'cloock and saw it.

It is very big, and expensive, but i admit it was lighter in the hand than i thought it would be. i guess some of the space in the inside was empty since there wasn't any cf card in. So while it is heavier than the nx, not signifcantly, but it definately is a lot bigger.

The camera attached to the screen was a bit big, which was a bit annoying.
