NG vIDEO fILES tO .mqv

when ever i try to convert my video files and try to watch'em on my Nx... theres no picture MOST of the time.

some of the files work specifically the small sized mpeg formats
but none of the avi formats dont seem to work when i try to view them

it shows up in the player but when i play it. it goes from start to finish with a blank screen and then skips to the next vid on the list. i mean i can browse through the video and see the picutre but thats only when its not trying to play the file.

the manual says it supports avi, mpeg and some other extensions... so whats goin on?

kan any1 out there plezzzzzzze help me out? i rilly wanna be able to take my movies and other stuff with me when ever i feel like it...

The ImageConverter uses Quicktime to read the AVIs, which doesn't support the Video for Windows driver structure. In other words, you have to convert to a QT compatible AVI first. To do this get an MJPEG codec (Pegasus PICVIDEO Mjpeg or MainConcept/Elsa Mjpeg), then install virtualdub(.org) and recompress with uncompressed sound and MJPEG encoded video. You will then be able to process these files in Imageconverter

i heard that the Sony MoviePlayer werks better than the Kinoma player so im gonna stay away from that, even tho it werked perty good on my Peg-N760C...

as for the movie conver thingy i finally got it to werk a few minutes after i posted my first message...

i dont rily kno the problem myself but everytime i used VirtualDub to re-encode my files into mpeg using the Mpeg-4 compression the finished file still ended up being an AVI file...
i dunno what i was doing wrong but meybe i juss dont kno how to use that stupid program =p

BUT when i used TMPGEnc to encode my AVI to MPEG it saves as an MPEG then i toss it into the Image Converter and *PRESTO* it werks on my PDA... YAY! =D
