I've used DateBK for a while now, but only with B&W palms -- and therefore I never used icons at all.
I recently got an SJ30 (which I love) and what to buy an icon package for 5 or 10 bucks. What do you guys recommend -- what icon pack looks best on an SJ30?

Hi,
I can highly recommend the designsbybert iconset. You can download a demo version at:
www.designsbybert.com
Do a search on PalmGear for Datebk or Agendus Icons and then download the demo samples. Also download dbIcon+ so that you can edit them or create your own.
Twokidsinagarge.com have a lot of different colour icon themes and Peter Ong has a bunch of new hi-res colour icons called M3 and M2. (available at PalmGear)

Does Datebk5 supports high-resolution icons for PalmOS 4 machines?

Thanks mikegehl for the plug! :)
aaronchow, high resolution icons are only supported in OS 5. Right now, only Agendus displays these hi-res icons correctly in all datebook views. Datebk5 has some problems in the week and list views.

Datebk5 has some problems in the week and list views. Well at least it's not just me. Mine hangs in the same places when I try to use a hi-res icon [one I created in Icon Manager but I wonder if any hi-res icon will do it]. Did you, or whoever you heard is having this problem, already submit a bug report to CESD? I prepared one, but haven't sent it yet. Thanks.

No problem - I figured Caligurl hasn't been seen for a month, and she'd want to promote your icons, too, so I just went ahead and filled in for her.

Another icon problem:
I've got DateBk5 installed (not registered yet, going to use the full trial period before I do), and I've also got all of the icons from the installer program installed. However, the only set that shows up when I try to select an icon is the original Icons-DateBk5 set.
All the rest show up when I run DbIcon+, but not when I am in DateBk5 and try to select an icon. Anyone have any ideas?
thanks

You really should read the manual that comes with dbIcon+

A really great set of basic icons is the HandyShopper set. It comes with the download of HandyShopper (freeware on PalmGear or Handango). I use them as my Datebk5 icons by deleting the default set and renaming the HandyShopper set.
Also, a word of warning: If you are also demoing Agendus/Action Names, be careful when you delete it! It takes all your icon sets with it (including the HandyShopper set I mentioned above) and you have to go back and reload it.

Both Datebk and Agendus only read icons from one "master" file, so you need to copy the icons from the other files into the master icons-datebk file that you want to have available.

Hi,
as fireball said, DatbeBk5 does not support hires icons on a OS 4.1 hires device - yet.
But Chris Antos (author of Handyshopper2) found out a way to display hires icons on OS 4.1 Clies and implemented it in HS2. CESD already mentioned that he will support them in one of his next releases, too! Yeah! ;-)
