Can anyone tell me what would be the best way to determine if I have a dead pixel on my pda ?

Yep, get LCD Analyzer. It's freeware and it's a wonderful little utility.

I think looking for bad pixels with LCD Analyzer is great if you just bought your NX and still have a chance to exchange it. But if you've had it for awhile and you're out of your "refund window", then why bother? I read a "scratches on NX" post before and after carefully looking at mine, found the scratches. I didn't even notice them before. I found a "dead pixel on NX" post and of course I found a dead pixel that was unnoticeable before. The pixel had since corrected itself and I haven't seen it bad for over a month now, but I'm not going to run the Analyzer to find more. After 3 months of ownership, there'd be nothing I could do about it (Sony won't exchange it for one bad pixel) and "knowing" it's there would annoy me. IMHO

Say " here, here, little pixel" if it does not move, it's dead!

Seriously, though LCD Analyzer is the way to go!

A liitle pointer, once you start it on any of the tests push the back button to get out of the test loop.
