omfg, i got a clie nz 90 from my dad about 4 hours ago for christmas. I had long lusted over his clie and i finally got it home, plugged in and setup. It syncs fine with outlook but i've been trying to install the ms import part for a while now.
im on a winxp pro box, ive read several posts where if you force it to install using the c:\program files\sony handheldhand\USB Driver. I cannot figure how to force xp to use either of the 2 inf files in that dir. It always gives me the prompt "this driver is not for the selected device" and im screwed.
Anyone have any ideas what i may be doing wrong?
Did you check Sony Support (http://ciscdb.sel.sony.com/cgi-bin/select-clie.pl)?

the sony support page mostly just has pdfs of the manuals, nothing to do with getting it to work with a OS......the strangest thing is when i select the C:\program files\sony handheld\usbdriver directory when searching for the driver, it lets me click ok on that dir, the ok button being grayed out all the time except for when i select that dir....blah anyone run into something like this?

i have windows XP
i have NZ90
it works.
i think MS import is preinstalled with the NZ
first uninstall everyting on ur PC, then reinstall the driver using ur Nz90 CD. windows Xp should recognize it as a USB Mass Storage device or something like that. The Cd has drivers for the NZ. It will then install a SCSI driver and then ask u to reset the comp.
to make it work, just actvate Msimport on ur NZ and the comp will automatically activate the MS import on the comp and a new drive will show up in My Computer

What exactly is the problem... whan can't you install? I take it hot sync is working, and that you installed all of the required updates from the Sony site! If your dad did a hard reset before he have it to you, which I would have done, then the CD does NOT have everything that you need... especially if you are using a memory stick pro. If that is your problem it is easily solved by going to the Sony site... good luck...

I know for a fact that this is the correct cd but i guess im screwed....should have stuck with my ipaq....windows has never been able to find any drivers when i tell it to search the cd, don't know if anitanium has a different cd then me or what but mine scans the cd and says theres no drivers found.....anyone else have any ideas?

I had a simliar problem. Used the computer safe mode then deleted usb driveres from there and everthing worked fine. It took me three days with E-mail and then talking with people around the world but only two mins to fix once the right person was found.tes
