Will the doc to Go coming with Tungsten E work in TG50?

Just bought both device, one for my sister and one for my GF, try to install the Doc to Go 6.0 in Clie but seems like the installation didn't complete. You guys know rather it should work? Thanks

AFAIK, the actual D2G apps are burned into the ROM of the T|E - thus, a crippled version of the desktop installer can be included, installing ONLY D2G Desktop. However, use FileZ to beam the D2G programs to your Clié. These include:

DocsToGo
WordView+
SheetToGo
SmartChart
WordToGoFonts
English_Am.lex (for spell-checking)


That'll give you Word and Excel ...

That SHOULD work - however, I cannot test, as I have an SJ-33, which does not have the files burned to ROM ... and my mother and sister already have D2G installed on their PDAs ...

Yes I have successfully acomplished this. since the 50 lacks internatl storage, I installed everything onto the unit and then moved everrthing except "Documents" to the memory stick. This will allow the unit to run the programs just as fast as it would ifthe program were directly on the handheld.
