Does anyone have an idea for keeping your stylus from falling out? I have a T665 and use it all of the time. I wanted to do something that would help me keep the stylus in a bit better.
I sandwich o-ring out of cigaret lighter between the stylus reset pin and shaft as shown in this site (http://www.clieuk.co.uk/cliestylus.htm)

I put a drop of superglue on the side of the stylus - and, of course let it thoroughly dry - then when you put it back in, it is tight again.
And when all else fails, they're not that expensive (a new one isn't so worn down it'll fall out).

Another idea...put clear nailpolish on the white plastic sections of the stylus. A few coats will last a few months and then you need to do it again. Takes about 5 minutes each time.

The nail polish that I used rubbed off all together within a few minutes after letting it dry. Is the some "good" nail polish that will stick to the plastic head of the stylus?
My T415 stopped holding the stylus firmly after the first minor drop (second drop tightened the stylus and jammed the MS card in permanently). I chose to wind about 2-3 layers of Scotch tape around the top of the metal part of the stylus. This tightened the fit nicely.

Re: the nailpolish strategy...I use a few coats (maybe 4 or 5) and let each dry a few minutes (it's good mindless task while watching TV) before putting on the next. I also check the fit between coats and stop when the stylus fits snuggly. I don't think the brand of polish makes too much of a difference. Hope this helps.

karpsy, I do think the nail polish will not work for me. It rubs off too quickly, even after being let dry for some time. Thanks, though.

Ok, I try some of the above methods, and I think this method works best for me last time. (Switched to a NX80 :))
Would like to give credit to Ricleo for this awesome tip b4 I sold my PDA (the buyer was particular about this tightness)
Do a slight bend on the stylus (not to the point where its visible)... and it should be tighter, do it until u feel just nice. Good luck :)

Now that sounds better. The tape is working for now, but I fear that it will start to peal more noticably. It is already doing this now. I will consider this bending thing.

the bending thing is still the best. u cannot see signs of any bends, and no extra visible tapes or rings whatever are used. I smoked my buyer with my good maintainence of my PDA stylus coz it was tight not to drop out. :)

Thanks karpsy and riversen and maybe others on this forum.
I used Sally Hansen Ultimate Shield Fortifying Base & Top Coat to paint the indention on the bottom piece (the piece with the tip) of my stylus. I had to keep turning it around for a couple minutes so it would get the entire indention and not drip. Then I put it down to dry in a way that the area was not touching anything. I waited about an hour for it to dry.
It works great!

I found that Scotch tape doesn't work well. I cut a thin strip of clear packaing tape, instead.

WRAP A 1 INCHPIECE OF SCOTCH TAPE AROUND THE STYLUS.

FYI:
the stylus is meant to be held in place by a small tab that "clicks" into the groove near the tip of the stylus (sorry if the graphics don't come out right):
______________ __________
\/ \
stylus \
/
______________/\__________/
______________/\
_______________/ <= tab inside case
I assume this tab fatigues and that's why they don't stay in place. Don't know if that will help generate any other fixes.
*My* fix was to let my son drop mine on the cermaic tile floor from about 2-1/2 ft. It landed on the top right corner and bent the plastic, so my stylus stayed in!
I wouldn't recommend this, though. That used up one of the two drops that came w/ my T615! (it didn't like the second one...)
