I mailed Sony regarding the USB support of the NZ90:

USB Devices Support on the NZ90.
I've read somewhere (I forgot where) about Sony to support USB Devices on their
Clie's products using Philips USB Chip. Does this include the NZ90? If yes, what
devices are currently supported? Does it include my Sony USB CD-R/RW Drive? If
no, is Sony working on it?
I wish I can watch VCD's on my NZ90. I also wish you will be releasing the NZ90
here in the Philippines soon. I just want you to know that I'm a gadget addict
and I really love this idea of all-in-one NZ90. It's like have a Swiss Knife.

Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry regarding the PEG-NZ90 Sony CLIE.
I am afraid, the Philips USB On-the-Go Chip you are inquiring about is not yet
released on any of the Sony CLIEs. It is expected to be released in future
models of Sony CLIEs. This will allow you to transfer files directly via the
USB port with other PDAs and portable devices without the use of a PC in
between. It is also expected to be back-ward compatible with all the older USB
Devices.
I am afraid, Sony does not disclose upcoming product releases or related
information upon request. As soon as announcements regarding new
product introductions are made available to the public, they can be

I am afraid, I have no information regarding the availability of PEG-NZ90 in
