I need help

Somebody please help me. Make me wait until the Sony comes out with another Clie after the NZ.

I want more than a measley 16 (really 11)mb of int mem.

What makes you so sure the next one will have more?

With the exception of Garmin, all current PDAs seem to have 16.... could it be a limitation of the OS?

16mb is the limitation of all palm OS's ---- OS 6 may be different

I keep hearing this argument, but no one has convinced me yet that 16mb is all you can get from a PDA. Everyone's crying for 32mb and beyond, and I guarantee that Sony will find a way to do it. Maybe we will have to wait until OS6, but I still haven't heard a convincing argument as to why they can't do it now.

In Sony & Palm Development sites Palm OS 4.0 series and OS 5.0 series are limited to 16mb -- only 4 banks of 4mb memory can be installed -- OS 6.0 development is going on now and possilbe memory upgrade is on the way ----

If that is true, how come Garmin is able to include 32Mb in thier new unit ??

Yes, I thought there was a limitation too, but then I saw the Garmin site. What's the deal?

There 16 mb in the GPS card thats internal that downloads the maps --- 32mb total in pda -- the map files are HUGE --- also the memory stick GPS units also have memory in them but how much good question -- I do not know -- but they have memory also --
