why does it show the files that are installed on the memory stick already as being in the procces of being backed up...when all I want is what is on the handheld backed up... isnt it now just doubling its own space?:rolleyes:

I haven't run into a problem with it backing up info on the MS, are you sure it is? or are some of those files on your handheld memory?

There are databases and preference-type files in RAM that are associated with the apps you have stored on your MS. This is probably what you are seeing in the backup set. The names may be similar, but your apps that are already on the MS are not being backed up.

Like Larry said they are just files associated with those on your MS. Every program you ever run on your clie (from ram or MS) creates an 84b a68k file that has the same name as the program.

That is what i assmed was going on, i ho[e we talk to him soon to see if that is what it is.
