you have 1 Mb free on your palm. You would like to carry 12 new programs of 300 k each (incl. their databases) around *and* be able to run it. Use Powerrun to move them to the card and to be able to run them/

Powerrun allows you to store files and apps on the MS and when you want to run them, it automatically moves the files/app to RAM

But doesn't the clie do that anyway? cause if you've ever run a prog bigger than available ram, it says there's no space

The big advantage to PowerRun and to ZLauncher is the databases that are associated with the apps. If you have an application that have large databases, or just a number of databases, instead of keeping these in RAM, those can be stored on the card and only copied to RAM when the application is run. Then, if the databases are changed, they are copied back to the MS.

never used powerrun, but what I understand the advantage to be is you can store and run programs beyond the capacity of the built-in ram, provided you have a large enough mem card of course... quite a bit slower because of the copying process, but useful for those running low in ram.
