I use Avantgo, but some of the sites they list in their directory haven't been updated for awhile. There's also a download limitation for each channel that you download unless you subscribe. I use it for basic news, weather, and sports updates.

Unless you have a NEED for either of them, I would forgo either.  Both take up a lot of RAM real estate, and if not used daily, I don't see the reason for them.  Don't get me wrong, I tried many things for this type of functionality, including hosting my own Avantgo server to get around the limitations of the non-subscribed users on the official server.  And am still running it for those who have a genuine need at my work, but if you can go without I would.

What I orgiginally used it for was keeping updated movie times on my palm pilot since i got to the movies alot and you know what an increbile pain in the *** it is to call them.
