I must admit, the T3 is a pretty nice hi-res+ PDA for the price. And if you think $400 is a good price, check this out. What about $359 with free 64Mb SD after rebate.

Palm.com (http://store.palmone.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1387781) has Free Overnight Shipping on any Palm Store purchase, exp 12/22.

Palm Tungsten T3 Handheld for $399 - 10% off coupon code: PMAG1 (exp 12/31) = $359 shipped, Free 64MB Memory Card after $20 Manufacturer Mail-in Rebate. Exp 12/21. get two AudioBooks FREE, a $19.95 Value, exp 1/5/2004.

I'm going to stick with my NX70. I am a big Sony fan and I've only had it for about 6 months anyways.

Using SDIO add-on cameras are pretty worthless, since you'll have to take them out and put them back in every time you want to use them, which is nothing short of an enormous hassle, as you'll quickly discover. The thing about non-clamshell PDAs is that when you actually include the depth of the case or flip cover that comes with it, you'll quickly find that your new PDA is almost as thick (or sometimes even thicker) than your NX. Oh yes, and if you shop around, you should be able to get a T3 brand new for $340 or so.

I've thought about it yes, but if I upgrade my NX70, it'll be a tapwave zodiac I get. The snes emulater in production, full screen nes and gizzmo emulaters waiting for tapwaves OK sway it for me.

Add to that, 128mb memory :D Then 2 SD slots, camera and card for instance! Built in bluetooth... mmmmm and it looks awsome in that slick slate colour.

Forgot to mention castaway! It works with nx70, yes, but speedball 2 with NX70s hard keys is just not happening, and it doesn't support gamepad (yet).

Downside is my clie stuff-
2 x 64mb sticks
1x 128 mb stick
1x 512 mb CF
1x game pad
1x bluetooth stick
1 x KB12 (I think thats it, old keyboard!)
1x T625c
1x metal case for it
1x nx70
1x metal case for it
1x leather case for it

<sighs> If i do it, ebay wont know what hit it !

That's a tough one. For me, the only two things holding me back from swapping my NX80 with a T3 are the still/video camera and the keyboard (and the universal remote w/consumer-grade IR, and the in-line audio remote, and the Flash player, and the built in screen protection, and the dual slots, and the excellent battery life, and a working WiFi card...). Okay, so maybe that's more than two things...

If PalmOne could add the above features to the T3, then... Well, then they'd have an NX80, which I already own. I don't need a battery-hogging 400Mhz processor when everything snaps open with a 200Mhz one, and thanks to JackFlash I have more than enough built-in memory for all my applications.

That said, the T3 is one heckuva PDA - especially for the price. If I hadn't already come to rely so heavily on the somewhat esoteric feature-set of the NX80 (and previously, the NR70V), I'd definitely consider purchasing one. But, alas, it is too late for me. Now I'll just have to wait and see what Sony does with the NX's successor...

PS - Inginious, you should check out the Tungsten T-Series forums at Palmonecity.com. There are a ton of Clie Converts over there who would be more than happy to help chart your course through these perilous waters.

I have a T3 which I use throughout the week. I carry it in a Vaja case and it think it's the best solution for everyday work.

I picked up a new nx70v for $230 at staples recently. I was curious to check out wi-fi and the better sound (etc). I thought it would be neat to have a PDA more geared to play. While I like the unit as a whole three factors that keep me from ever thinking about it as a daily unit.

1) I settled on a Bellagio case based on recommendations found here and I find it makes it just too big to carry around.

2) What's the use is the wi-fi if you get so many MIME errors.

3) The stylus is terrible.

If I needed to choose one PDA I would go with the T3.
