The camera on the NZ has a self timer function. I don't see how this would be very useful. The way the camera is set up someone would have to be holding it in order to haev it pointed at something. If you set on a table or something it will either face up or down. What say everyone on this?

can you set up the NZ like an upside down v ? that would let it stand up under it's own power.
Or, set it down on the table with something underneth the hinge and not the end so that when it is opened up the camera is facing forward.
Just some ideas, i really have no idea if it would work.

The upside down V would work. I do that with the Nx now. At least I think it would.
With no rotation on the lense, I think when it's extended like a V, it's going to pitch it back a bit, and thus the lens up. Might need a bit of something to prop the screen side a bit.
Or something to prop it, and open it wider to straighten out the angle. I'm making all these guesses while looking at my ex-Nx.
you could also set it and put it on its side to take a picture. There are also some people inept w/tech so you just set the timer and tell them to hold it rather then explaining how to push a button.

I guess we'll all have to wait another week or so before we can actually test this. I hope there is some kind of rotation of the lens/hinge assembly? If not maybe Sony could have included telescoping legs that swing out from underneath the device like a tripod. <------jk. :)

The upside-down V would only work if the WiFi card is not in :(
