View Full Version : 'touch to sound alarm' app?

Someone makes a 'power napping' module for the Handspring Visor series that is basically just an aplication that sounds an alarm when you touch the screen.

The idea is that relatively shallow naps are more refreshing than deeper naps. If you held a marble during a nap, when you slip into a deeper sleep, you'll drop the marble and (hopefully) the noise would jar you awake.

The Visor needed a module to accomplish this mostly because of the pathetic speaker it had. My T665, however, has a loud enough alarm that I can use it as an alarm clock- and I am a pretty heavy sleeper.

I figure, therefore, that if I can find the right application, I can use my T665 as a 'power napper alarm'. The right application would have to be something that made the screen sleep then would wake the device up and sound an alarm if touched.

Such an application could, in theory, be used for other things, like a buzzer simulator for game playing or even a rudimentary security alarm where breaking a tripwire would make something bump the screen (OK, so that is a reach!)

Anyone know of an app like this, or interested in trying to write one?
