Does anyone use this ?
I've found it that it lacks a lot of basic functions, like unicode support.
For all of us who don't use english as the email language, this could be a problem.
Also HTML mails, are not seen well on the screen (in fact, are not seen at all)
Besides buying snappermail or versamail, does anyone have an idea ?
Is there something i'm missing on this utility ? for what it weights (230Kb) i think it should to more ....
Thanks

I didn't read up on this but how does it work? it says you can view your desktop email on your clie . . . . and that sounds to me like you get your email form the web, and instead of looking at it on your comp, you bring it with you on the clie . . . .

The clieMail does not have a Desktop part, it is for use with weireless modems and regular modems, it is practicaly a pop3 client (like outlook / outlook express)
Again, missing a lot of features that other have for less weight ...

Actually, ClieMail does support the desktop in addition to wireless. I decided I don't really need my desktop mail on the Clie and had some issues, such as deleting an email off the Clie would delete it out of Outlook, so I quit syncing my desktop mail.
However, for wireless, I think ClieMail works great. I mainly just want to be able to check my email when I'm at home, so a basic app works fine for me. ClieMail can save any kind of attachment, so I've been able to work with zip files (using ClieFiles) and Word and Excel documents that were sent, which is great. It doesn't handle HTML mail very well, as you mentioned, but almost all the HTML mail I receive is spam, so if I recognize HTML code when I'm viewing an email, I just hit the delete button.
So, for me, it works great, but YMMV.
For me, this app is something used occasionally, when I need to check email when I'm traveling. For that basic use, it works fine and I have had no desire to search for anything else.

HTML messages are not only spam, some clients of mine, do send emails in HTML format (Outlook default), so for me it's a petty that i cannot use it. I'm currently using Eudora for palm, but it has its own bugs (well who doesnt....). I was happy to see that sony has its own utility, but dissapointed by it's implementation.
Palm on the other hand , gives you versamail, which is also very good....
Just a thought ....
Thanks anyway,.
