Sony said official release date is Feb 20

I just called them up, and they said that is what they have in the computers.


Which means you should get them on Feb 21 if you ordered from them.


Curious when compusa and all other's would get it?

Well, here's my limited experience:

I was on the prowl for the Nx and the NR before it when they first announced.

When Sony said that they were going to have it (x) day, they did. Usually, at least here in Ohio - the BM's rolled theirs the same day. Never before Sony's rollout date.

While CompUSA and the others have this date and that date prior to the 20th, I think that we're going to see them ON the 20th being moved. They might have them in physically prior to the 20th, but they might be under agreement with Sony to not roll before Sony sells their own.

Again - uneducated guess - just based on prior experience.

I was doing my usual Clie patrol. You know, find the store employee that doesn't know you can't sell those big black things in the green boxes before the 20th. Anyway, I checked at a local CC for the NZ and the manager said the Sony rep had been in earlier. They discussed arrival dates and the rep said within the next two weeks but would give no definite date.

So, back to patrol.

Good news...was in my local Best Buy, and the guy knew exactly what I was talking about..he said you want the new black one with the 2 MP camera, I am like yeah, he goes we are suppose to get them in next week, by end of week.

So looks like Best Buy is definitily going to get them as well.

Screw it - that's a Thursday - take the 21st too and make a long weekend of it .
