I never use the Up/down buttons, never had. Is there a way (hack) to assign those buttons to programs like the other hardware buttons. I found one that supposedly lauched the hotsync app but it never worked on my SJ30.
Also, on my old handera, I could launch any app I wanted by holding down the back button. I can turn my SJ30 off and on with it, are there any ways (hacks) to assign that to a program instead of just power.
just trying to find a use for all these buttons...

There is a hack called EasyLaunch that can do a lot of what you want.
Also, SlowLaunch can do some of it, as well.
I don't know of any hacks that will let you map the up/down keys.

I use a program called 'PowerJOG'.This allows me to like uhm,'page up' and 'page down' rather than selecting one application at a time with the jog dial.It also allows the user to well, not use the stylus and has the option for you to select a button from the jog dial itself.Give it a try,I just love this program :D

Somewhat on the same topic, I use EasyLaunch but it does not see programs on the memory stick. For example, I would like to store ShadowPlan on Memory Stick and launch it with a long-hold of the memo button.
I know that I can create a shortcut in LauncherX and EasyLauncher will see that and run ShadowPlan. But I was wondering if anybody knows of a button launcher like EasyLaunch that can see programs on the memory stick and lauch them directly?

You might want to check on TealLaunch from www.tealpoint.com - as it lets you reassign almost every key on your device...and setup couldn't be simpler...

I've registered TealLaunch, but now use Easy Launch. It offers a few more options AND it's freeware.

Nope - unfortunately neither TL nor EL are VFS aware. I've requested it from TealPoint, though. They said they'd look into it.

Thanks Mike. I just emailed the creator of EasyLaunch to see if he will be adding VFS support. I have my doubts since EasyLaunch has not been updated in a while. :(

"Not now, not enough time" was the response from EasyLaunch developer. :( Understandable, but still a bummer.
