HI all,
I saw it somewhere, is anyone here using it or know where to download? I think there's a trial version. Do I need to install a "reader" to use PDA dictionary?
Please give me some advice, thanks.

or at least a websters
Biggest Dictionary available for the palmOS that I know of:

You need this to run it:

Mobipocket.com do the Oxford dictionary. You can down load a trial version but it only gives you one letter! The interface looks nice though.

Rumor is that the MS Dict folks are coming out with a new dictionary soon with a major name attached. Don't know if it will be Oxford or not, though.

Yes - Mobipocket has the Oxford. They also have the Webster's Collegiate. What's nice is if you use Mobipocket as a news or e-book reader and you have a dictionary installed, you can highlight any word and a popup window appears with the definition.

Ummm...PalmReaderPro does that...and so does MSDict (with a more complete dictionary entry, albeit through a hack...still, works well...plus the MSDict hack will work anywhere in any program that has text entry to define a word).

Oh! Doesn't even work for me:)
Well, go to www.peanutpress.com and look for Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, Tenth Edition
and you need PalmReader Pro to use it.
Thanks Kstuart;)

Mine is about 9.5" x 7.5" x 2.5", but it is an abridged version. ;)

tanker_bob,
Do you know about how soon Ms Dict will release this new dictionary? Next month? Sometime this year? Thanks.

Also, what about the compatibility issue with Wordsmith?
Thanks again.

I don't know for sure when it will be released. I'll send them an email about it. They fixed the Find compatibility problem in Wordsmith, but now there is a screen problem when dismissing the simple mode of MSDict Hack. I wrote them about that a couple of months ago but haven't heard anything lately.

Heard back from Mobile Systems. The project is progressing well, but no release date has been set yet. They will also look into the WS problem.
