Ok guys, after 5 years on a Palm V - I got the NX70V last night - and after much downloading to try new things/demos. I tried to start Yishow. (after hearing you all rave about it) Well..... I get a fatal alert - SonyHR Lib.c, Line:869, Insufficient work memory error. and it asks me to reset.

Not too much of a problemm EXCEPT - that when I reset and get the prefs screen - the only place I can go is to the launcher and that is Yishow and the circle repeats itself.

How can I get out of this back into the regular standard launcher???
HELP!!!
Thanks
Matt

Go into the buttons section of prefs and assign one of your hardkeys to go into a file management program. From here you can delete YiShow. I think that should work. If you don't have a file management program installed, you can still hotsync one without going into your launcher.

You'll need to do a hard reset and then try ZLauncher instead.

I think he must have had the OS4 version of Yishow installed. Matt, make sure you get the OS5 version of Yishow and give it a try. I love both YiShow and Zlauncher, I just happen to be using Zlauncher for now. Don't let this incident shy you away from YiShow though.

Yep, sounds like you installed the wrong version of YiShow. You need the version for Palm, NOT Clie! The Clie version is for earlier models PRIOR to the NX series Clies and OS5 Palms.

This is to reinforce what OcellNuri basically told you. I use ZLauncher also, but YiShow is not bad either and I am registered for both. It's a matter of personal preference.

5 years on a Palm and your a newbie:D?

No need for hard reset.

I had the same thing, did the same thing--installed the version for clie! Imagine that--installing the Clie version on a Clie. On the restart, I kept getting the fatal error and it was a vicious cycle. So, I went and downloaded the correct version and resynced. It gave me access back to my Clie. Now I am off to delete both and get a fresh start!

A warm reset could work too, not the same as a hard or soft reset.

Good move - I too had a Palm V, what a breath of fresh air to get hold of my NX70V.

It wuz all a bit of a learning curve, made harder by the fact that I couldn't get my head round the fact that my Clie can do sooo much more, specially with a 128mb stick!

I played with all the launchers and have kinda settled on 'Z Launcher' (for now).

BTW - you can install lots o launchers together and switch between em to compare!
