Akrion,
Thanks for the offer. Yes, a site redesign is planned. We are getting ready to upgrade to VBulletin 3 as soon as it is released. Since there is no portal ready for VB3, we are planning to do a lot of XML stuff for tha main page.
We'll notify you once we kick this off.
Thanks!

I am not trying to fix anything since as you can see nothing is broken I am just trying to make it better becouse sorry but for a site with 35,000 members the web design sucks big time ! ofcourse thats just my opinion so I will stop posting with suggestions etc. 10x

well i find it homey and non-intimidating, those sites that you showed me are a bit adrenaline pumping, maybe if you had some more subtle graphics, well tireburn.com looks pretty cool and comfortable, i dont mean to be sounding fruity or anything, just that i feel comfortable in this site 24/7 cause if the simplicity of it

Akrion, those sites do look great, and the graphics are amazing, but I do think it would be a bit overkill for a site like this. I wouldn't mind a few minor updates to the design, but I think overall the site looks pretty good as it is.

I just wated to say that it will be nice to do some upgrades I never wanted to say lets make it like one of those sites I did couse they have a different style and idea. ClieSource needs something simple but I guess the founders of the site already have that planned so lets forget about this ...

well maybe as reggie said, you could be part of it, they have a good idea of what they want, maybe you could give it too them, maybe they should have a contest, like they did for the logo
I like the way cliesource is. because it's simple html page without much graphics. I can read it pretty fast on my clie even on gprs (sometimes I prefer checking the non-mobile version)

I was staying away from this one, but since you say "the web design sucks big time", I'll put my two cents in.
While I'm sure that overdone, slow-loading, lightning-enhanced, purplish-tissued, juvenilish, 3d graphics have their place, I just don't want them on cliesource, which often takes long enough to load as it is.
Thanks.

When I first visited ClieSource, I didn't like the style of the site. However, it has grown on me, and I know that a site change would alienate many of the Senior Members.

I do think we should change all of the follwing forum subtitles, though.
Discussion on the new Clie TG models.
Discussion on the new Clie NZ models.
Discussion on the new Clie NX models.
Discussion on the new Clie SL/J models.
Discussion on the new Clie NR models.
Under Clie TJ-Series
Discussion on the Clie UX models
Under Clie UX-Series
Discussion on the Clie UX models
It seems ironic that we describe the NR as new but not the UX. And I'm sure it's just a typo, but what's up the the "Clie TJ-Series" subtitle?

exii,
10x for your opinion, as I said I made a suggestion dont take the "the web design sucks big time" personaly PLEASE. Relax. First of all I am a new member of this site and I just wanted to help in a sence with what I can do. I cant understand why people like you when they see my sites think I will make tons of BIG zise graphics and stuff like that for this site. Every site has a personality and idea behind its design. Clie source Graphicaly speaking is NOT designed well and that my opinion as a proffesional in this area not as an average clie user. Also remember that everything new is scary when you have been involved with it for some time. Like you may not like Windows or Linux OS Graphical interface but guess what you have to live with it right !? and then after some time you will say "you know what its not that bad I acctualy like it !"
Again this discussion is closed I think since Reggie already told us that redesign is comming ClieSource way. I just wanted to point out something not to make senoir members of this site angry so relax guys.

am i a senior member?
well i have to say of what you've told us i think i cliesource could use you onboard for a redesign, you know, as long as it keeps its cliesourceness, and its good to see someone wants to improve the atmosphere, everyones entitled to their opinion (oh yeah and to end this disscussion you could either have a mod close it or you can delete your first post)

otherwise people will begin chatting and just saying useless remarks and talking about stuff that doesn't pertain to the topic
oh hey, anyone ever used magnesium (the metal used in clies) to start a fire? :)

Let's just see what VB3 has to offer graphically. Maybe not a HUGE redesigning (since a lot of people check this site out in a PDA for obvious reasons), but a slight "tune up" may be nice :).
