BlueContact Beta 0.92.
This extremely cool program allows you to silence your Bluetooth-enabled phone while in a meeting and if you get a call, it displays the caller's ID on your UX-50 so you can see who is calling you without disrupting the meeting. In fact, no one but you will even know you are getting a call!!
Check it out here: BlueContact Beta 0.92 (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&prodID=52174)
Application Description:
Using BlueContact you can remote-control your bluetooth enabled mobile phone with your bluetooth enabled PalmOS-PDA and get information about incoming calls, start outgoing calls, log call times and do much more. BlueContact has been developed with situations in mind where the usage of a mobile phone is unwanted or disturbing, but where you still want to be informed about incoming calls like ...
... in meetings
... in your car (with special cradle)
BlueContact supports PalmOS 4.x and PalmOS 5 and the following mobile phones:
Ericsson T39 (m)
Ericsson T68 (m/i)
Sony Ericsson T68 (m/i)
Sony Ericsson T610
Sony Ericsson T616
Sony Ericsson Z600
Siemens S55
Siemens S56

Thanks for your feedback, jerk.
If you don't have something nice to say, say nothing at all.

Well, since it is a beta, I'm certain more features will be coming. They are taking suggestions for improvements, such as support for Nokia handsets, so it might be a worthwhile expenditure. I'm going to buy it now because the price is going to increase with each release until the final release. :)

Hey NAPOLI, do you just close your eyes, click a tpoic, then go to your "Book of Useless Forum Replies" and pick one. Cause frankly (I'll call you Frank if I feel like it!), you seem to contribute nothing to any of the topics I see you post in!
Sorry, back on topic. I have to agree, it appears to be quite a useful program, but a tad expensive. I look at something like BTToggle (a VERY useful program), and it only sells for $12.
Mentioning BTToggle makes me think of a drawback (sort of). Since BTToggle turns off BT until needed, one would have to remember to turn off BTToggle, or not use it at all.

Unfortunately, replying to napoli in any way, shape or form guarantees yet another response from the spelling champ. Let's just try to ignore him until he is banned.
I agree that BlueConnect is a bit on the spendy side, but I really see the usefulness of this app. Additionally, I am trying to promote (by buying) as many Bluetooth apps as I can because I think we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg concerning Bluetooth's potential usefulness.
And BTtoggle: I have it mapped to my "Mail" hard button for easy on and off.

SMEGGIE - I guess your right, but I had to get that off my chest. Sorry.
Never thought about that option for BTToggle. May make it easy enough for me to give the BlueConnect a try!

I wish it had a "try" option to test it out. So many apps like this are hit and miss, especially when it interfaces with another priduct.

It works perfectly with my S55, but it's useless for me because normally I always have my phone with me and the UX on the table ;)

So are you talking about
BlueConnect
or
BlueContact
are these two different programs?
I can only find BlueContact 0.92beta and it seems to work with my phone, but thought it would mute the phones ringer for me or something nice like that. No dice.
Also reports me as roaming when I am not.
if they are different programs somebody please post me a link to BlueConnect (NOT bluecontact 0.92b i have that already)
I have this feeling i'm about to be made to feel very strupid for whatever reason...

this is a neat program.............
but: $21.00 are they crazy? Major programs like docs-to-go (yes, the upgrade) and Warfare Inc. are arround the same price point...
its a little too spendy and not enough usefull for my blood

I really wish you guys would quit picking on people who can’t spell. I’m dyslexic and have a real hard time communicating in writing. Especially if I use the quick reply box, it doesn’t have spell checking. I understand picking on no minds that don’t have anything to contribute, but not being able to spell doesn’t mean I don’t want to learn and be a participant. I have enough shame about this without seeing it in the ClieSource forums.
Just my two cents worth.
Thanks
:( No symbian support - I've been wanting something like this for my P800 for ages. In an ideal world I'd want it to run in the background and pop up when a call was incoming. That way I could be running Aeroplayer or Mapsonic and have it pop over the top on an incoming call so I could grab it on my hands free....
Ah well - I'll just keep waiting!!
